life 4/23/12

so yeah my weeks are pretty boring now -- get up, work, watch a little tv, sleep -- repeat x 5 lol but weekends -- oh how i love weekends.  especially sunny ones in seattle.  over the weekend jaymee and i went to the puyallup spring fair and looked all around at animals and crafts and fair type things lol the it was off to auto alley to look at cars then pig races where we got a photo taken with a pig - i need to scan it still but it is hillarious because i look terrified cuz mostly i was till i fell in love with the little pig.  then it was time to get seated for the demolition derby -- love me some demo derby -- right up there with roller derby!!  the drivers really gave us a great show including fireworks at the end.  then it was off to the casino and some food and dancing.  we finally got home around 2 am and were up getting ready to go again around 730.  Sunday we headed out for Leavenworth.  Jaymee had not been since she was in high school and i had never been.  it was an amazing day for  drive up and over the mountains.  we got there and it had to have been in the 80's and sunny.  jaymee and i talked and goofed around and laughed all day long.  anyway, i hope everyone else had a great weekend - here are some photos to enjoy of this weekend's adventures

my week 4/15/2012

hello all,
i hope you have had an amazing week.  i know i did and now it is time for my busy weekend - sunshine in seattle means not staying inside much.  work this week was great, i really didnt do a lot online except try to keep up with blogs i like to read and facebook friends and all.  between working and sunshine i will be online less and less but am determined to keep my blog up weekly.  jaymee (my sister) came over from port townsend yesterday and we had a wonderful adventure.  we went to the new birdwatching park in auburn, then to a cemetery i had not explored yet.  unfortunately when we got there i was more interested in taking photos of flowers and for a large cemetery, there were not that many flowers there.  so off we went on yet another of our adventures - not knowing where we were going.  so we took back country roads to renton where i checked my mail :) it is something i forget to do quite often lol.  went to the library and checked out some road trip music and headed out towards mt ranier.  we knew we couldnt go all the way up because the pass is still closed, but it seemed like a great adventure, but then we realized that gas was like 15 cents a gallon more than it had been in renton and turned around and went back.  from there we ended up going to a good friends place and visiting till like 10pm - our adventures - you never know what you are actually gonna be doing!!  when we left we decided to stop by this small casino in auburn where an old friend works and check out the band - if they are good we stay, if not we bail.  they were good  we finally got home about 130 am and went to bed.  today it is another nice day but i am relaxing and doing some things around the house i need to get done.  i have not gotten to my photos yet, but when i do tonight or later in the week i will do a photo post.

have a great week everyone,
peace and luv to all

my life week ending 4/7/2011

hello everyone,

well my first week of work was amazing.  i didnt realize how much i missed the daily routine of going to work.  I am doing data entry and work with an amazing team -- and my bosses last name is bacon so hey cant go wrong there now can you??  so, genealogy -big news this week has been the release of the 1940 census.  i have not had time to really even look at it yet, and probably wont get to for a couple of weeks between work and seattle sunshine :) mr william.. he is good, i miss him during the day but i appreciate him all the more when i get home at night.  i watched him last night and had an amazing hour of cuddling at bedtime.  journaling -- need to get caught up on that tonight :) but here is one about your family history - where do you think your family was in 1940 and what do you think they were doing?  my mom's family was living in louisville, ky and they had my aunt ginny and my aunt linda.  my mom wasnt born until 1946 and my aunt judy was born i think 1944 or 1943.   my father's family was living in louisville as well i believe.  my father was not born until 1944 or 1945 but his brother might have been born.  yes i am doing this from memory and really should be looking at the family tree.  it will be interesting to see where my fathers family was for sure because i am really not sure since i know from talking to my dad before he passed away that my grandfather actually at certain points lived and worked in like chicago or something like that.  i havent done any scrapbooking but have been taking photos like mad.  here are a couple for you ---
does anyone know what these tree/bushes are?  they get like pussy willows on them that turn into these awesome daisy looking flowers.

this is the statue that is in the little park outside my work.  i love the character of her.  i call her delilah and she is always happy to see everyone :)

hunger games poster with my work building reflected on it

well i hope everyone had a wonderful week, happy Easter if you observe it or passover if you observe that or sunday for the rest of y'all :)
peace and luv to all

3/29/12 Digital Scrapbooking–inspiration

Hello all,

today’s page is for a sister/friend Corey in PA.  One of the boys from the local high school football team (which her son played on until he went to college) died in a car accident over the weekend so she emailed me some photos and info and asked me to come up with a couple pages for her and for her to share with any and all who want them.

here is the first page I did, it includes info from his obituary

john klena for corey copy

I hope you like it as much as she did,

until tomorrow, peace and luv to all

3/28/12 My week in review

Hello everyone, this is actually two weeks in review since I missed a week.  In the last two weeks we have had some crazy weather – seriously, rain, hail, snow, sun – all in one day.  We also had William’s birthday party.  He had so much fun playing with his cousins as well as opening his presents.  He loved blowing out the candle on his cake too since he has been practicing that.  He got an awesome dinosaur train (from the PBS show) that goes on a track and has Buddy, Tiny and the Elvis one who sings the Dinosaur Train song.  He LOVES it.  I am looking for a job again which is a full time job in and of itself.  But I am optimistic as always that I will have something sooner rather than later.  It is amazing how few clothes I actually have left to wear for interviews and work now that I have lost so much weight.  But that is ok, I will just take a portion from each paycheck and get one or two new items of work appropriate attire for the first couple months.  I have met with a couple of agencies so far and am applying to jobs that I feel I truly would be an asset to that are in the areas that I would like to be in.

this last weekend was AMAZING saturday I had a girls day with my sister – we went to the roller derby then when it was over at about 10 we hit the theater for the last showing of the Hunger Games.  I loved the book and the movie was amazing too.  And as for the roller derby – I love it!!  once I am really settled in life I will chose a nearby team and start being a volunteer even if it is just for the merchandise table.  then sunday I went to the park with sammy and rich and william for family day.  it was fun to sit back and watch william play with his parents.

I have an interview on tuesday evening for a position I would really like in bellevue.  I will try to keep you all posted on what happens with that.

anyway, since I am prepublishing now, I want to get this one going,

until tomorrow,

peace and luv to all
