week three - cars

I have never owned a car, i cannot drive one so there is no point in owning one. I do however have my favorites - first and formost - ford mustang - both muscle cars and the new look alikes. also, i love old station wagons. I guess for that i am weird but i do love them. there is just something fun about thinking about riding in the way back where you could watch the people behind you on the road. i love looking at classic cars and dreaming about getting a project car to rebuild with my sister. we have it all planned out really just a matter of extra money for it.

anyway until next time,

well i am behind already lol

somehow i missed a week - oh well as my aunt ginny says "forgive yourself and move on". so week two's subject is winter....... winter when i was growing up meant praying for snow so you could have a snow day, lots of family games and puzzles, soups, stews and chili with spaghetti in it (dont know why really). winter now means movies, reading, games and puzzles along with soups, stews and chili - only i dont make it with the spaghetti i prefer it over rice :)

Happy New Year - 2011 is here!!

well, if you look at my past entries you will see that I have not finished a year long project yet, but I am still willing to try. I am going to redo the scrapping of my life, along with project 365. Yeah I am getting a week late start, but I am ok with that lol. Stay tuned for weekly posts this year :)

ok I think I am back now.....

I know I have been gone for quite a while, sometimes life just gets in the way of blogging :) Here it is a new year and I have decided to do the 52 weeks of personal genealogy and history by Amy Coffin and hosted by Geneabloggers this weeks entry is New Years Memories.

New Year's Eve for my family while I was growing up was a big deal. It meant we got to stay up till midnight, watching Dick Clark's New Year's Eve from Times Square, then at midnight we got to go outside and yell Happy New Year. Then it was off to bed for us and mom got to sleep in the next morning. I didn't really follow this through with my son however, since he was ADD and needed to stick to his schedule. When he was a teen I would go out with my friends to celebrate at the local watering hole and when I got home he would still be up and we would wish each other happy new year and I would go to sleep while he stayed up playing video games.

So here's to another Happy New Year and I hope the best for everyone in 2011.
Peace and luv
